Discover “Secret Art” along the Yorkshire Wolds Way

7th April 2017

We are delighted to help launch Secret Art, a brilliant virtual art gallery, which currently has 30 locations along the Yorkshire Wolds Way,

Using the latest technology on smartphones or tablets, it gives visiting walkers the opportunity to “hear” and “see” poetry and paintings floating in the landscape.

The brilliant art works have all been provided by local artists and include work by Robert Fuller.  Each one is unique and can only be seen by reaching the right location on the trail and then popping the “bubble” that shows up on your phone.  When some bubbles are popped, walkers will hear poetry inspired by others who have visited the beautiful landscapes of the Yorkshire Wolds.  One of the poems has been specially provided for us by Ian McMillan called “Listening Looking”

To take part all you need to do is download the free app called TRACES.  All the details for this and more information can be found on our website
