Closure of the Hessle Foreshore Section

4th December 2018

Unfortunately the Yorkshire Wolds Way is again closed on the Hessle Foreshore from just east of the Country Park Inn  through to North Ferriby.  This is to allow the extensive bank stabilisation works to take place on the section alongside the railway line.  The works are being carried out by Construction Marine Limited on behalf of Network Rail.

The legal closure period is currently in place until the end of the summer 2019.  Should these timings change, we will advise of the details through this websites new pages.

Our recommendation for Yorkshire Wolds Way walkers is to visit the Humber Bridge section at the start of the trail as it is a fantastic site to walk under, then to catch the regular train between Hessle and North Ferriby and to continue the walk from there.
