Look there's a new donate button!

8th October 2015

If you love walking or riding on the South Downs Way, you can now help us to keep it looking its best and fund future improvements. On each SDW page you'll find a new "Donate" tab which allows you to securely donate to help fund the SDW and this website.

For example we want to replace standard SDW finger posts with bespoke fingers including desinations and distances. This costs money, and is not a statutory council or government role, therefore we rely on grants and donations to do this and to continue much of our work. We love the SDW and are proud both the trail and this website. We don't want to settle for status quo, we want to continue to make the SDW better then ever. Better for walkers, ridders and cyclists, more accessible to those without a car or with mobility difficulties. better for wildlife and our historic features. Your donations can really can help. £5 could fix a gate latch, £20 would supply a saw to a volunteer, £100 would replace an old signpost, £200 would let us continue to manage a section of verge for wildflowers.

So if you enjoy the SDW please consider helping us by clicking on the "Donate" button at the top of the page. All donations are handled by Walk Unlimited and transactions are completed though PayPal.

Thank you for your help.
