Looking for a fundraising challenge?

24th June 2016

Many people who walk the Pennine Way each year do so to raise funds for charity. Walking the entire Pennine Way in one go is a tough challenge for even the most experienced walker, so is bound to generate significant sponsorship and interest. If you are thinking of walking the Pennine Way for charity we wish you all the best of luck! We would also be very grateful if you would consider giving a small donation towards the upkeep of the trail in return (www.nationaltrail.co.uk/pennine-way/donate). Here is the story of one fundraiser embarking on the challenge this summer.

Ian Cooper:

"I'm walking the Pennine Way to raise money for Weston Hospice. After visiting there recently, I was so impressed by the work they do there, for people in the last days of their lives, I knew I had to do something special for them. I chose the Pennine Way, as I've always wanted to walk it, probably because it was opened in the same year as I was born. My fundraising page is http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/IanCooper2."
