A temporary diversion is currently in place on the Pennine Way near Wessenden Reservoir in the Peak District National Park to enable essential maintenance work to take place.
The work will see the restoration of 200 metres of degraded path on a steep section of the trail between Blakely Clough and Wessenden Brook. A 0.9km (0.5 miles) section of the Pennine Way is closed. If heading northwards along the trail, the diversion starts near Wessenden Lodge and loops around Blake Clough before rejoining the Pennine Way. The diversion is 1.5km (0.9 miles) in length.
