England Coast Path – Becconsall Marsh

You are now standing on the England Coast Path, a 2,700 mile walking route opening in stages around the country.

Where can I walk?

For your safety and to protect wildlife, please stick to the path. No new rights exist on the riverbank or marsh here.

What is ‘Coastal Access’?

A new legal access right to walk on the England Coast Path, and sometimes the ‘Coastal Margin’ between the trail and the sea. Signs will tell you where Coastal Access rights do not apply.

In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. You are at grid ref SD452231 at Hesketh Bank.
