England Coast Path – Welcome to Liverpool Docks

You are now standing on part of the England Coast Path – a 2,700 mile National Trail opening in stages around the country.

Where does the Coast Path go from here?

This stretch of the England Coast Path continues to the Mersey Ferry terminal which is in 300 metres, past the memorial.

When cruise ships are docking and these gates are closed, you’ll need to take a very short detour around the back of the building across the road.

What can I do on the England Coast Path?

Walk or use all-terrain wheelchairs.

Take your dog for a walk, but keep them under close control and bag and bin their poo.

Follow instructions on signage.

Watch birds and wildlife – but keep your distance.

What is a National Trail?

National Trails are long distance footpaths, managed by Natural England and local Trail Partnerships: visit www.nationaltrail.co.uk. Look for the acorn logo!
