A view across the river from the Thames Path

Chilterns Walking Festival: Hambleden Lock and Temple Island (walk ref 8)

After crossing Hambleden Lock we turn left along the Thames Path, then up to The Flowerpot, then turn right and follow a high track giving great views of the River and the Hambleden Valley. The walk then descends to Remenham Church and Village, with Temple Island on the opposite bank. We return along the River passing the Henley Management College and back to the Lock.

Pace Gentle

Fairly easy (some gentle inclines, steps/stiles)

Family Friendly 
The walk is not directly aimed at children, but they are very welcome - recommended age 11 plus. 
Toilets available at the car park

Dogs leads must be not extendable 

Public Transport Links 
Bus 850 or 800 from Wycombe to Reading 

Meet at Mill End Car Park, RG9 6TL, for a 10 am start. Grid ref 785 854 

Accessibility Information
2 stiles and minor hills. Toilets available at the car park
