Raise a glass to the Pennine Way!

3 breweries have been selected to brew official beer for the Pennine Way, the oldest and best loved of the National Trails.

The breweries are all based in the Pennines close to the iconic trail. Each is brewing a distinctive and refreshing beer, perfect for a thirsty walker.

The Nook Brewhouse have created Pennine Light, a traditional light mild with an abv of 3.5%. The balance of sweetness and bitter hop character makes this a very refreshing and quaffable drink.

Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery have created Pennine Ambler, a thirst quenching amber ale, 4% abv.

The Hadrian and Border Brewery are brewing Pennine Walker, a tasty, hoppy, golden ale with an abv of 3.8%.

The beers will be for sale in pubs along the Trail and throughout the Pennines.

This isn’t just good news for walkers and drinkers though – the breweries will be making a donation to support the Pennine Way from every pint and bottle sold. So we can all feel good about buying a drink at the end of our walk.
