Beautiful 18th century farmhouse with inspiring interiors and ravishing views near quirky, picturesque Hebden Bridge (Best Small Market Town in the Great British High Street Competition 2016) Set in a walker's paradise in the hilltop village of Pecket Well, Elmet Farmhouse provides superb self-catering holiday cottage accommodation for 6 people. Ideal for hikers, it is 2 miles from Hebden Bridge and 7 miles from Haworth, with links to the Pennine Way at Heptonstall or Stoodley Pike via the Hebden Bridge Pennine Way Loop.

Proud finalist in Welcome to Yorkshire's 2016 White Rose Awards, Elmet Farmhouse is surrounded by spectacular countryside, with breathtaking panoramic views across the steep wooded valley of Hardcastle Crags (a magnificent estate owned by National Trust) towards the ancient village of Heptonstall. The perfect place for a walking holiday or a short break on the Pennine Way, this is the landscape that inspired the Bronte sisters and local poet Ted Hughes, whose book Remains of Elmet features the view from Elmet Farmhouse on its cover.

Beautifully decorated, Elmet Farmhouse has a wonderful atmosphere with its 18th century stone fireplace, woodburning stove, stone mullion windows and window seats. Warm, cosy and extremely comfortable, it is furnished with attractive Scandi-Modern furniture, stunning vintage textiles and and lovely wallpapers and lamps by local designer Hannah Nunn. Remarkably spacious, it has a large lounge, a roomy well-equipped farmhouse kitchen, three spacious bedrooms (one double and two twins) and two bathrooms (one with bath, both with showers). There is also a pretty cottage garden with a bench and an outdoor dining area overlooking hay meadows and rolling hills.

The Robin Hood Inn in Pecket Well, just 5 mins walk from Elmet Farmhouse, serves tasty home-cooked meals and award-winning Timothy Taylor's ale. Self-service evening meals, breakfast hampers and packed lunches are also available for walkers staying at Elmet Farmhouse by prior arrangement with the owner. Advance booking essential.

Elmet Farmhouse has plenty of parking for 3 cars. Walkers and cyclists are both very welcome. Secure bike storage and bike-washing facilities are also available. We offer a pre-booked pick-up and drop-off service for Pennine Way hikers within 5 miles by prior arrangement (subject to availability).

Walkers love Elmet Farmhouse: 'Perfect in every way - the welcome, the view, the attention to detail - all so appreciated at the end of our 2nd day on the Pennine Way.' (Tish, Jane and Sara).
