The #BestTrailPub along the North Downs Way

22nd November 2018

We’re very lucky to have National Trails; they are all very different in lots of ways, but we have one thing in common: the good old Country Pub!

In the coming weeks The North Downs Way will be taking part in a national campaign on Twitter, supported by Facebook and Instagram, to celebrate pubs along the National Trails, and we want to hear from walkers and pubs on the North Downs Way.

How you can support the campaign:

-              Follow us on Twitter @NorthDownsWay and keep an eye out for the #BestTrailPub and #AleOfTheTrail hashtags.

-              If you’re a pub, tweet about why you’re the best pub along the trail using the hashtags and tagging us; perhaps share your own pics of walkers enjoying a pint at your pub (with their permission, of course!).

-              If you’re a visitor to the North Downs Way and pubs along the way, we’d like you to tweet about your favourite pub, tagging the pub if they’re on there, us, and include the #BestTrailPub and #AleOfTheTrail hashtags. We want pictures of dogs in front of cosy fires, pictures of jubilant walkers quenching their thirst after a hard day on the trails. Bonus points awarded for dodgy Christmas jumpers and head gear!

We will be keeping an eye out for your tweets and retweeting.

Get out there, walk a trail, visit a pub and let us know who gets your vote for #BestTrailPub.
