Millom Marsh: Where can I walk?

Millom Marsh: Where can I walk?

You are now on the England Coast Path National Trail and its associated coastal margin.

Please note that this marsh holds hidden hazards and very sensitive wildlife, so there are no new coastal access rights seaward of the flood bank or beyond the fence to your left.

For your safety and our wildlife’s, we ask humans and dogs alike to keep to the path.

Did you know?

You can legally use an all-terrain wheelchair on the England Coast Path. There are no stiles or kissing gates between Green Road and Hodbarrow Mains. Bicycles and horses must stick to existing bridleways.

What is the England Coast Path?

The England Coast Path National Trail will be a 2,700 mile walking route around the whole coast of England. It’s opening in stages and as of February 2022 you can walk over 80 miles in Cumbria, from Allonby to Green Road, and around Walney Island.
