Circular & Linear Walks

This walk has been added in celebration of the forthcoming King Charles III England Coast Path. A stunning stroll around Solway Wetlands centre and Campfield Marsh. Enjoy incredible views, awe-inspiring nature. Fun for all. Public toilets and parking.

A circular walk starting at Arnside Railway Station, going via Arnside Knott, taking in spectacular panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and out over the shining sands of Morecambe Bay.

High tide optional alternative route for use when the main trail is flooded. The high tide route also sits on existing public footpaths so it can be used to create a circular route when the tide is out, exploring the village and foreshore using the main trail, then returning via woodland and Ravenglass's Roman bath house remains at the Glannoventa fort site, on the waymarked high tide route.

A pleasant walk along a short section of discussed railway line.

Follow the coast path from Whitehaven to St Bees returning by train or bus. Not only does the coast have the bustling harbour, shops and cafes of Whitehaven, and the red sandstone village of St Bees but a wealth of other gems. Starting your walk from either St Bees or Whitehaven, the 6.5 mile coastal path takes 3 to 4 hours to complete due to the up and down nature of the headland. The train journey between Whitehaven and St Bees takes just eight minutes, and buses also run between the two.
