Works to the seaward side of the railway south of Flimby station have meant that part of the main trail is now on the beach as you approach the wind farm from the north, and can be cut off by the tides. An informal high tide route is now waymarked on the main trail, on the line highlighted on this map. There are some underpass tunnels which can be used as escape routes south of the station, but these are very low and not official rights of way.
