Bus stop on National Trust Ashridge Estate near the end of the Trail at Ivinghoe Beacon. Buses serve Berkhamstead and Hemel Hempstead, both of which have train stations linked to London and Hemel Hempstead also has a long distance coach station with connections to London and airports.

Buses are not frequent so plan ahead and obtain 'real bus times' via the internet or text. Bus services are 29, 30 and 31. The bus stop is known as 'Ashridge Monument Drive'. A short walk from the bus stop there is a National Trust shop, large outdoor cafe and interesting monument to while away the time waiting for a bus.

It is a pleasant walk between the bus stop and The Ridgeway, through National Trust woodland (no entry fee to walk on the estate).

If you are travelling long distances, it is important to note that this is one of three bus stops in the local area - the other two are Ivinghoe Beacon and Ivinghoe village green. Ivinghoe Beacon is the closest bus stop to the end of the Trail. These Ivinghoe bus stops have connections to Dunstable, Tring, Wendover, Aylesbury, Cheddington, Leighton Buzzard and Bletchley, the last five places having train stations linked to London.
