The Thames Tideway Tunnel is a 25km ‘super sewer’ under the Thames to intercept the sewage and clean up the River Thames for the good of the city, its wildlife and everyone who lives, works and walks beside and across the river.
Chambers Wharf is one of the busiest and most important sites in the project. Work includes building out onto the River Thames by making a cofferdam to extend the foreshore. Selina, the Tunnel Boring Machine, is due to arrive in early 2019.
