This museum has been established in the former home of Richard Jefferies, a Victorian writer and journalist with a passion for the countryside and firm conviction in the power and importance of nature. The house has been restored to create the atmosphere of a mid to late 19th Century farmhouse, and contains family memorabilia, archive material and the works of Richard Jefferies as well as a selection of his books for sale.
