Primrose Cottage, which is set back off the road, is the last of four cottages in what once one known as Primrose Alley. The first three cottages have now been converted into one dwelling where we live and we are pleased to be able offer Primrose Cottage as holiday accommodation for individuals and families looking to stay in this beautiful part of The Garden of England. The cottage is believed to be 15C and has a wealth of original and interesting features such as exposed beams, inglenook fire place and small twisting staircase (with handrail).

  • Although is has a cosy feel the rooms are spacious and the cottage sleeps 5.
  • The cottage had gas central heating throughout.
  • The lounge has a red tiled floor, comfortable suite, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove (fuel provided), TV (with freeview) & DVD player with a small library of DVDs.
  • A number of games and books are also provided together with a travel cot and high chair.
  • The dining room has an oak sideboard and dining table and chairs for five people.
  • The well equiped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, electric oven with gas hobs and microwave. You will find everything you need from cork screw to fishslice and from potato masher to cafetiere!
  • Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, one sleeping 2 in a kingsize bed and the other containing 3 single beds.
  • The modern bathroom has a corner bath.
  • The cottage is centrally heated throughout.
  • Privately fenced patio area, BBQ and garden furniture for alfresco dining or for storage of cycles.

And finally if you need anything we are only next door and willing to help! Please note that the small spiral stairs may not be suitable for the infirm although there is a handrail.

Primrose Cottage is in the delightful village of Bridge, just a stone's throw from historic Canterbury. The village has 3 pubs, a well stocked convenience store, post office, chemist, health centre, park with children's play area, dentist, butchers and 2 hairdressers. With excellent links onto the A2, Bridge is the perfect spot for exploring East Kent. There are also regular buses into Canterbury. Bridge village is situated in the Nailbourne Valley in an attractive rural setting.
