Gales Fawr

Gales Fawr is a working family sheep farm set on the western slopes of Moel Arthur in the Clwydian Range AONB; the Offa's Dyke trail runs across the top of the farm, and so we are ideally situated for those who want to break their journey in the vicinity of Moel Arthur. Accommodation is provided in an en-suite room, which has its own staircase access and so is private to the rest of the farmhouse. This room has a small double bed, and also a bunk facility, and so can be set up for single occupancy, or as a double or twin. This is a quiet rural location, so a good nights sleep is assured after a long day walking the hills above the farm. Due to the unpredictability of farming life it is not possible to provide evening meals (except in complete emergencies!), but there are four pubs locally, which provide a range of food options, and a lift or taxis can be arranged as necessary. A good breakfast will be provided, though, in the family kitchen before guests return to the hills.
