Tips for enjoying the Yorkshire Wolds Way

13th January 2017

Are you thinking of visiting the Yorkshire Wolds Way and are looking for some ideas?

Why not look at all the day walks that are on offer?  We can recommend 3 websites with lots of ideas, including this one!

Perhaps you want to walk the full 79 miles from Hessle to Filey.  If so you will be needing ideas on places to stay and facilities available.  You can find that here on the website

and you can also download the current Accommodation and Information Guide (due for update end of February 2017)

Remember, accommodation can be a bit scarce on the Yorkshire Wolds. If you cannot find a place right on the route some B&Bs will pick up walkers from the trail and drop them back in the morning. You can also often find more accommodation available by arriving on the less busy days, so choosing to walk it in the opposite direction (from Filey to Hessle) or start your journey in the middle of the week.

Finally – if you are walking all of the route then you will need a copy of the Yorkshire Wolds Way Guidebook.  You can purchase this from the National Trail Shop

Happy Walking!
