Latest update on Hessle Foreshore

11th February 2020

We now understand that the Hessle Foreshore length between the Country Park Inn at Hessle and North Ferriby is due to close on 9th March 2020 and is expected to stay closed until January 2021.  This is to allow foreshore embankment works to take place that can protect the main rail line into Hull as well as the Yorkshire Wolds Way.

As the alternative is to walk alongside the busy dual carriageway, we recommend that anyone planning to walk the full route of the Yorkshire Wolds Way goes to the start and walks to the Humber Bridge, before heading back to Hessle station and catching the frequent train to North Ferriby, picking up the trail from there.
