A view across the river from the Thames Path

Summer Time and the Walking is Easy (though hot)

19th July 2016

Well we've been lucky - had amazingly warm weather these past few days on the Ramblers Thames Path 20th Anniversary Walking Relay. It was a typically grey start to the walk on the first day at the source but gradually our pace is settling in - along with the good weather - with walkers joining in for parts of the Trail- and local dignitaries and well wishers sending us off each day and passing the symbolic baton to the next lead Rambler.

I've been really enjoying meeting up with fellow walkers and seeing the route unfold day after day. We've got some of the photos online now- follow the link anduse the map and turn layers of data on and off by ticking or unticking the boxes. Use the Zoom tool and arrows to navigate the map. We've plotted them along the trail so you can see our progress - and more to come before we get to the Thames Barrier on Saturday and onwards to the Thames Path Extension and Crayfordness - I'll be ready for a cup of tea by then!
