A view across the river from the Thames Path

One of the best walks in the Country

25th February 2014

Just as there are signs of the weather improving, hopefully spring is just around the corner, and the Thames Path should be beginning to dry out, a section of the Trail has made it into one of the top ten best walks in the country.  The Guardian newspaper compiled a list of the best walks in the country and the section of Trail between Henley-on-Thames and Maidenhead was included on their list.

The Guardian website states "this stretch of Thames Path National Trail is a lazily unfolding delight of riverside reflection, taking in charming English towns including Marlow, and the imposing Cliveden Estate. Just over 16 miles of looping riverwalk, best taken at a stroll".

Why not plan to explore and enjoy this good walk and catch the bus back to your starting point?  Further details are available on the Thames Path Travel Planner.
