Surface Improvements near Exton village

21st October 2016

Work is underway to improve  the surface of this 230 metre section of the South Downs Way just outside of Exton village, Hampshire. This short section of the Walkers' route, that is on the eastern side of the A32, is impassable during the winter months and is often closed until the water levels have receded. Therefore we are carrying out improvement work for the next 2-3 weeks which will enable the trail to remain open well into the winter.

This section of the trail (Walkers' route only) will remain closed to the public for the duration of the work. A diversion is in place, and signed on the ground, which will follow the Riders' route of the South Downs Way through Exton and towards Old Winchester Hill and vise versa.
