FLOODING: Due to the persistent wet conditions the owners apologise for any inconvenience caused by closing this site until June this year.


Right next to the Southdowns Way - Houghton Bridge Campsite is an ideal stop off for weary walkers & cyclists, we expect to open for 2018 from 1st may to 30th september (weather permitting). There is no vehicular access, but anyone travelling by train to Amberley station we provide pick up & drop off.

Bring your own tent or: 3  'pop-ups', also 2 ready tents, one of which is a bell tent, the other is a tunnel tent (all tents sleep up to 4 people). Each tent will be raised onto decking & has it's own raised fire bowl which can be used for cooking/bbq & a bit of extra heat.

Ready tent/pop-up - single person £25 per night

Ready tent/pop-up - 2-4 people £45 per night max 4 people

included - 1 towel, 1 pillow & bedlinen. 1 ring gas stove, cooking/eating utensils.

Payments can be taken by cash at campsite or bank transfer (sorry no cheques).

Facilities: 2 cassette toilets housed separately/ washing-up areas & shower.

Electric for charging phones, tablets etc.

A selection of our homegrown vegetables & sometimes honey.

Nearby there is the Bridge Inn pub, Riverside tearooms, Amberley tearooms right in the village, Amberley village stores for essentials.

The owners reserve the right to close the site if adverse weather conditions arise & full refunds will be given where applicable.
