Ridgeway Spring Newsletter 2018

17th May 2018

Our spring newsletter is out now- it’s packed with what we hope will provide you with a varied and enjoyable ‘good read’:
• we're looking at art inspired by The Ridgeway - 'Wayfaring' a unique live artwork by And Now, taking place in July and we give the results of the Swire Art Prize competition
• we're talking about the impact of the weather on our Trail
• The Beacons of the Past' project will focus on the 'beacons' found at high points along The Ridgeway in the Chilterns
• Oxford University’s Chris Woodham - gives an update on his PhD project with our Volunteers to discover how best to conserve and restore chalk grassland along The Ridgeway’s verges
• we're listing events - large and small- taking place soon and also volunteer tasks you might like to join
• we’re introducing 2 new faces- our Chairman Simon Kearey and Jenny Lee, our Secretary and one familiar face, Andy Mawer, in his new Volunteer co-ordinator role
We hope you enjoy the newsletter- we'd love to hear from you with your experiences of The Ridgeway.
