Beautiful area of downland, scrub and woodland which has been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to it's chalk grasslands and the rare chalk grassland flowers (including orchids) and butterflies which reside there.

Numerous footpaths cross the site, including the Ridgeway National Trail. To access the reserve by car, take the Ellesborough road out of Wendover, go over the bypass and there is a small parking area on the left at the sharp right hand bend. Alternatively, walk from the National Trust car park at Coombe Hill.
