Waterfall flowing over Malham Cove for first time in living memory!

7th December 2015

After heavy and persistent rainfall a waterfall was seen flowing over Malham Cove on Sunday 6th December 2015 for the first time since the 1700s. Dry Valley above the cove was no longer dry but was hosting a river which then flowed over the 70m (230ft) high cove to the valley below. Sections of the Pennine Way on the approach to Malham Cove and along Dry Valley were flooded, but visitors still made their way to see this spectacular sight.
