Raise a glass to the Pennine Way!

19th October 2018

Join Kirby Lonsdale Brewery and the Pennine Way Ranger to toast the success of Pennine Ambler on Tuesday 23rd October on the Pennine Way at Malham Cove.

The Pennine Way is a better trail because of Pennine Ambler, a beer created by Kirby Lonsdale Brewery.

The brewery makes a donation of 10p for every pint or bottle of Pennine Ambler sold to help maintain the Pennine Way.

The money raised since the beer was launched in June 2017 is enough to replace more than 10 gates, install around 20 finger posts or make 450m of boggy ground safe and firm to walk on.

To celebrate the success we are offering walkers a free taste of this special beer

The beer is for sale in pubs along the Trail and has recently been made available in the Kirby Lonsdale branch of Booths supermarket.

If you are in Malham you may want to enjoy a refreshing pint at the Lister Arms. When you quench your thirst with Pennine Ambler you can feel good about contributing to the Pennine Way.

For over the past 50 years people have been embarking on the 268 mile journey along the spine of England, from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders; where Alfred Wainwright notoriously left money behind the bar of the Border Hotel so that anyone who had walked the length of the trail could be rewarded with a free pint!
