Hare & Hounds in Lothersdale closed for refurbishment

1st September 2017

The pub has recently changed hands and is undergoing a major refurbishment. The pub is closed during this period. The new owners hope to open the bar and the kitchen this winter. The new managers hope to offer accommodation in the future. Lothersdale provides a well timed stop for either refreshment or overnight accommodation so the new plans for the Hare and Hounds will be very well received. The old carpets have been removed to expose the stone flag floor meaning that walkers will no longer need to remove their boots. The new managers, Abbie and Elliott, will also be keeping the pub open all afternoon, so that walkers tackling this surprisingly hilly section of the Pennine Way will not be disappointed on arrival in the village!
