Sandy Haven Crossing Reopens

12th February 2015

The work has been completed about a fortnight ahead of schedule.  The crossing is now available  between 3 hours after high tide to three hours before high tide.  At other times walkers will have to walk around the 4 mile long high tide route that mostly follows roads.  The concrete stepping stones have been removed as it has not been possible to keep them level and at the right height; a new crossing has been constructed to provide a more stable level surface.  The work is funded by The Crown Estate, The Welsh Government; Natural Resources Wales and The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.  This project is co-ordinated by The National Park Delivery Team 08453457275
