A dramatic cliff face on Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path

A wonderful time to be on the Trail

24th October 2013

Now really is a wonderful time of year to be on the trails; both routes are magical to experience right now, whether it’s the glorious shades of the bracken, leaves and bright berry colours of natures harvest on the rural Peddars Way or the flocks of geese and other over wintering birds coming in over the coast.

Some time however just has to be spent indoors…….

We were at the Walkers are Welcome National conference at Swaffham on 19th-20th October. It was great to meet so many representatives from different towns around the uk, all sharing their love of walking and extolling this to their communities in order that everyone can gain from their local access to the countryside. They had great speakers too, Brian Smith from Britain on foot and  Eddie West-Burnham, chief exec of West Norfolk MIND,  both of whom gave inspiring talks on walking and its multiple benefits to body and mind.

If you and your town/village are interested in finding out more about Walkers are Welcome, check out their website.
