A dramatic cliff face on Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path

Trail Officer's Blog

3rd November 2015

It's been a couple of weeks since my last blog so here goes.....

The Norfolk Walking Festival has been in full flow over the past two weeks starting with a launch event at Waxham barns and a walk with the Friends of Horsey seals to look at how a local volunteers group are looking after this fantastic environment and finished with a Ramblers led walk from Trimmingham along the new stretch of coast path.

Earlier on in October I had a meeting with the Natural England Coastal Access team to look at the rollback issue we have at Trimmingham on the cliffs and will be looking to roll the path back over the winter period.

The weather and the views were spectacular on the day and really showcased the great opportunity that coastal access provides.

Later on in the month, I met with Patrick Saunders (a trail officer) at Holme-next-the-Sea to look at access issues and how we can improve the signage in this area and we aim to be installing new signs just after Christmas on this part of the National Trail.
