A dramatic cliff face on Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path

Hello from new Trail Officer, Jack Davidson

25th January 2019

Regular visitors to the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path site may have noticed a new face staring out at them from the front page. Like the our wonderful National Trails, the Norfolk Trails team is always changing, so I thought I'd post a few words by way of ‘hello’.

First, it's probably worth saying that Russell hasn't gone anywhere, and I'm not actually that new. Russell will continue to manage Norfolk's Trails Officers across the whole county, while my focus will now be solely on the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path, as well as the new and existing Coastal Access.

At this point, I've worked on the Norfolk Trails network for almost four years, but I have to admit that the National Trails have always been my favourites. It's easy to see why the Norfolk coast, the Broads and the Brecks are such special landscapes, both in terms of their formal designations, and the place that they hold in many people's hearts. To deploy a much over-used phrase - it really is a privilege to be able to work here.

There’s a lot of exciting developments on the horizon, for both of these glorious trails, and I look forward to sharing them with all of you. For up to the minute updates, @NorfolkTrailsuk on Instagram, and @NorfolkTrails on twitter are the best way to stay tuned.

Happy trails,

Jack Davidson
