Sustrans is the organisation behind The National Cycle Route - they had the brilliant idea of developing a network of safe & attractive cycle routes throughout the UK.  And with a huge boost from the National Lottery, they will have completed the 10,000 mile network.

The Radnor Ring Challenge

SHORT BREAK   4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS

“The Radnor Ring” is a new signed Sustrans route (825) - across the Radnorshire hills to the Wye Valley.  There are lots of hills and a high mileage of 46 miles on one day (that’s why we call it a challenge). 

This cycle route is easy to follow through the welsh hills, its signposted all the way. It also follows part of the Route 8 Lon Las Cymru, from Rhayader down to Newbridge.   The route takes you through wild open countryside & moorland and Red Kite country.  There’s even a Red Kite feeding station next to your accommodation in Rhayader. Staying at Knighton, Rhayader, and Presteigne. Total 114 miles.
