Entered the Hall of Fame:27th September 2016
Trail Completed:18th September 2016

I walked Offas Dyke south to north with my friend, Dawn Rogers, starting on 8th September, finishing on 18th September.  We averaged 17 miles per day and really enjoyed the varied scenery and the fact that we didn't know whether we were in England or Wales for half the time! We stayed in some lovely accommodation en route with friendly B and B owners.  Met some lovely people and a lot of Canadians.

We had mainly fine weather but we were disappointed on the day we walked from Pandy to Hay on Wye as it rained for the majority of the way which meant we walked faster, covering that day's distance in 6 hours!! The mist was down which meant we also missed out on some lovely views! We were the 2 ladies in shorts who attracted a lot of attention and amusement that day as it wasn't warm! We also had another day where there was torrential rain, thunderstorms and lightening.  We didn't sit down all day and ate our lunch under a tree as it was the driest area to be!!

We particularly enjoyed our penultimate day's walk from Llandegla to Bodfari, despite it being one of the toughest we had fabulous views all around which meant we didn't really notice the tough climbs and distance covered. All in all it was a great challenge and we are now looking to do another National Trail soon.
