Green Pilgrims Walk Canterbury to Chilham Fri 19th May

As part of the launch of the Green Pilgrimage Project we invite you to join us on a walking pilgrimage in the Kent Downs landscape on the North Downs Way National Trail.

Discover the ancient trackways, intimate landscapes and small rural villages along the medieval pilgrims routes between Canterbury and Chilham, one of Kent’s most beautiful villages.

Led by Peter Morris, North Downs Way National Trail Manager.

A 5-6 hour guided walk with rests, please bring packed lunch/ refreshments. Pubs in Chilham at the end of the walk. To book:

  • Eastbridge Hospital
  • Roper Gate
  • St Dunstants Church
  • Bigbury Fort
  • No Mans Orchard
  • Nickle Farm
  • Old Wives Lees
  • St Marys Church, Chilham
  • Chilham Castle

15.30 approx. Return to Canterbury West by train. Trains at 17min and 47min past the hour
