Fund Raising on the NDW

18th September 2015

John Hyde along with two friends, Noele and Irene Christon completed the North Downs Way on Wednesday 12th August. Walking via the Canterbury route, they completed the 131 miles carrying a dummy soldier on a stretcher, raising funds for the Lance Corporal Ben Hyde Memorial Trust. Along the way they were assisted at times by serving and ex members of the Royal Military Police, "even with the hard climbs we found the route enjoyable and varied"

The Lance Corporal Ben Hyde Memorial Trust was founded in March 2005 in memory of Ben Hyde who was one of six Royal Military Policemen killed on 24"'June 2003 in Southern Iraq. Since its formation, the Trust has been able to help the Royal Military Police Central Benevolent Fund as well as many local community services, particularly young people. We can only continue this work in Ben's name with your support. http://www.benhydetrust.org.uk to £10. You can text BENS27, plus the amount up to £10 that you wish to donate to 70070
