The atmospheric views on the Hadrian's Wall Path

No more kissing (gates) at High Crosby

29th July 2015

Trail Ranger Andy is seen here admiring his handiwork at High Crosby on the Trail.  A wicket gate replaced the old kissing gate the new fingerpost takes the place of the tired old post that had served the Trail so well since 2003.  Notice also the ground reinforcing sheets installed in the gathering area so as to prevent wear and wear; the grass seed, sown less than two weeks prior to this photo, is coming away nicely.

We are also pleased to announce that the old fingerpost 'fingers' have also found a new home.  Keen Trail walkers snapped them up when they went on sale a few weeks ago and the money made a useful contribution towards the cost of the works here.
