Huntercrook Lodge is situated in the heart of Hadrian's Wall, on the edge of the national park. We are located, north of the village of Bardon Mill, in Henshaw, just off the A69, only one mile from the Roman fort of Vindolanda and near all major heritage attractions including Housesteads and Birdoswald. Ideally situated for walking the Hadrian's Wall national trail, or riding Hadrian's cycleway.

Come and enjoy the comfort of Huntercrook Lodge and explore Hadrian's Wall which never fails to impress. Its stunning location, awesome splendour, and outstanding views are on the door step for our guests to enjoy.

Vindolanda, the historical Roman settlement is walking distance from Huntercrook. See more about it here. Just past Vindolanda you can find Hadrian's Wall, the famous ancient wall. By car, Huntercrook can serve as an excellent base for many local market towns and roman sites, including Hexham, Corbridge, Carlisle, Kielder forest & lake, and much more
