Relax and unwind in the comfort of your own cosy rural retreat.  Whether your perfect holiday includes beautiful walks (we are only 1 mile from the most dramatic, best preserved sections of Hadrian's Wall), taking it easy with a glass of wine on your own south facing patio or enjoying a romantic hideaway, Common House Farm has it all.  Our 5 cottages lie in true, peaceful, Northumbrian farmland with each cottage having stunning views across to the Pennines. From your lounge windows you can watch lambs at play or listen to the call of the curlews in the surrounding fields; you may even be lucky enough to see our elusive family of stoats.

Common House Farm is a charming place for a holiday; well insulated and with heating provided by our bio-mass boiler, our recently refurbished cottages are perfect for out of season holidays too.  No wonder many of our guests return year after year.
