24th March 2016

Are you walking Glyndŵr’s Way this Easter? Then here is some news to gladden your heart!

A new, volunteer run café has opened at Bwlch y Sarnau community centre and it is right on the National Trail.

Bwlch y Sarnau is the only place with a refreshment stop on the long, 15 mile stretch between Abbeycwmhir and Llanidloes so make sure you stop and take advantage of it.

The Glyndŵr’s Way Café can provide you with hot drinks, fresh sandwiches, soup and cake as well as a welcome sit down and loo stop. The café loves dogs and has canine snacks and water bowls available. All proceeds will go towards running the community centre.

Booking ahead is essential so just drop the café an email at or call 01597 870432. The café only takes cash or cheque payments.

Mugs of tea or coffee £1.50

Luxury Hot Chocolate with cream and marshmallows £2.00

Soup and roll £3.00

Sandwiches £3.50

The café is soon to launch a 6 mile circular route around Bwlch Y Sarnau with wonderful views you can email the café as above for details.
