Welcome to the first Glyndŵr’s Way path wardens!

11th May 2017

Meet Fiona and John who have kindly put up their hands to be the first Glyndŵr’s Way path wardens.

They are looking after a stretch of Glyndŵr’s Way east of Llanidloes and have already been out looking at the maintenance tasks that, as wardens, they will be taking on. This includes renewing waymark discs as they become faded, snipping vegetation that is obstructing the path and adjusting gates.

They will be walking and maintaining their stretch four times a year and will send a short form back to the Trail Officer to report on the overall condition of their patch.

This is really valuable to everyone who is involved with the Trail – landowners, walkers, contractors and the Trail Officer. If you would like to be involved in a similar way then give Helen a call on 01597 827562 or make contact through the website.
