Join the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s staff on the popular annual walk ‘out of bounds’ onto Little Fell in the MOD Warcop firing ranges.

The walk is around 10 miles (circular), hard going in parts across rough moorland, and has approximately 530 m of ascent.

On the walk which allows people to ‘bag’ one of the more elusive hills over 2000 feet in England (Hewitts), we will be discovering upland wildlife, mining history and the MOD site as well as getting a chance to see recent peat restoration.

This event is part of the North Pennines Walking Festival, and is organised jointly by the Friends of the North Pennines and the North Pennines AONB Partnership.
