The Wittenham Clumps are an obvious landmark seen from the Thames Path between Clifton Hampden and Dorchester on Thames. If you divert from the Thames Path by crossing the footbridge into Little Wittenham, and climb the hill to the clump of trees at the top of the hill, you will be rewarded by a great view of the Thames Valley.  This area is managed by the Earth Trust, who have an exciting 'River of Life' project nearby, where backwaters and ponds have been created to make wildlife habitats.  There is car parking on the hill up to the clumps and near the church in Little Wittenham.
