St Laurence Church, Seale is a beautiful church surrounded by a large open churchyard. Its history goes back to the 12th century and the font just inside the entrance is from this period. The bell tower houses a peal of six bells, the oldest and largest forged in the 16th century; they are rung each Sunday. The church has seating for about 180 and an active choir. Attendance on a normal Sunday the average is about 40, but on feast days and special occasions, the church is often packed.
