Chimney Meadows is a large nature reserve that lies beside the Thames Path between Tadpole Bridge and Newbridge in West Oxfordshire.  Look out for the information boards beside the path and you will find one beside a footbridge that takes the Thames Path across the river.

If you walk a short distance along the private road that runs northward, you will find a picnic bench in a quiet glade on the left hand side. Walk a bit further to find a path to the  bird-hides and the meadows that are full of flowers in the summer.

Wildlife to look for are roe deer, hares, curlews, skylarks and, excitingly, a peregrine falcon perched on the pylons. There are otters in the area - you may be lucky on an evening stroll.  In short, Chimney Meadow is a great place for a lunch break when walking the Thames Path.
