Sign 18 – Haverigg dunes: Walking with dogs
Prepare for your visit by viewing our digital signage
Dogs are very welcome on the England Coast Path!
However, in this field, please don’t forget to:
Keep dogs on the waymarked England Coast Path – not the surrounding land.
On a lead at all times.
These are legal requirements to ensure the plants, wildlife and conservation-grazing cows and sheep, which make these dunes such a special place, can thrive.
You can bypass this section using the foreshore towards Silecroft or Haverigg.
Thank you!
Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. You are at the western end of Haverigg Bents dunes.
This A4 sized sign has a graphic illustration of a coastal scene in the background, with text in a white box in front, an illustration of a friendly golden retriever dog on a lead, and a line of logos along the bottom.
