The Old Spot Inn – nestled at the foot of Stinchcombe Hill, in the Gloucestershire town of Dursley, you can find this award winning “gem” of a traditional hostelry. Situated on the Cotswold Way and surrounded by the glorious Cotswold countryside: the original building dates from 1776 and has low ceilings and comfortable connecting bar-rooms which are adorned with interesting “breweriana” from times gone by.
There can be no better atmosphere in which to enjoy a pint or two of the many cask ales always available and the humming of convivial conversation!
We serve food every lunchtime with the focus being on local produce and a delicious varied menu sure to appeal to everyone. FOOD ALLERGIES and INTOLERANCES – Please speak to our staff about the ingredients in your meal, when making your order. Our food is freshly prepared so we can adapt dishes to suit any dietary requirements or preferences
The “Spot” as its known to the locals, is at one with its community and we hold many charity fund raising events throughout the year, we sponsor local beer festivals, school fun days and sports teams. Local businesses are our suppliers from paintbrushes to partridges and porter….we buy local. Time spent here, whether your local, visiting or just passing through, will remind you what a traditional pub is all about. Enjoy!
“The Spot” as it is known to all who visit, is a CAMRA National Pub of the Year, is recommended by Alistair Sawday and features in the Good Pub Guide amongst many other publications. It is a traditional pub in every sense, whether you fancy a Sunday Roast by the cosy open fires after a winter walk or a cool glass of wine whilst reading your book in the pretty secluded garden. In the same family ownership for over 20 years, it won’t be long before the welcoming staff and friendly locals will make you feel like it is your “local” too! We look forward to seeing you…..
