Bus stop in Avebury village near to the end of the Trail at Overton Hill with connections to Devizes and Swindon (Swindon has a train station connecting to London, Bath, Bristol, Oxford etc). Number 49 serves this bus stop and buses are frequent, running everyday. The bus stop is known as the 'Avebury Red Lion', named after the pub nearby.

This is one of four bus stops in the local area - the other three are at Beckhampton, West Kennet and East Kennet. East Kennet and West Kennet are closest to the end of the Trail at Overton Hill and are served both by 42 which connects to Marlborough and Calne. A once-a-day service X76 between Marlborough and Bath stops at Beckhampton and West Kennet. The Heathrow-Frome long distance coach 402 stops at Beckhampton but it runs once a day only.
